After working with client after client of small business owners who had come to me in various stages of struggle to start, maintain, or even decide on a website platform for their business, I started to realize that most small business owners don’t need all the functions, costs, and headaches that often come with a site, but rather a simple, cost-effective solution to grow their online presence. In 2021, after designing my first few Squarespace websites for clients, I saw how much better this suited the needs of many small business owners and switched from working in WordPress to fully catering to clients in need of simple solutions. I build sites for clients that want a site that they are proud of, and feel confident in making basic edits to themselves. I am happy to incorporate custom coding into sites, but avoid making overly complicated sites that ultimately have the potential for more problems or maintenance. I love working with all types of small business owners, and am particularly passionate about working with “later in life” entrepreneurs that want a site that doesn’t cost a fortune to build (or maintain!). My Squarespace design services make a great fit for wellness coaches, photographers, event producers, real estate agents - anyone looking for a simple, professional website. Squarespace offers common integrations to meet business owners’ needs such as ecommerce, enewsletter sign-ups, and more. While it is definitely not the proper platform for every single business, it is ideal for many, and I’d be happy to help you determine if its right for you.

The process of building your site will include an information gathering phase in which I’ll get a better idea of what you’re looking for, and you’ll draft the written content on your site. Next, I’ll do an initial build out. Lastly, we’ll work together to make edits and fine tune the site for launch. My Story
After spending over a decade in the non-profit and public sector spaces in operations, marketing, and events, I decided to bring my skills and strengths to the service of others as a small business owner. Utilizing the creative and management skill sets I’ve gained, I now work from a laptop in my cozy corner of the sunny Southwest.
In my personal time I’m obsessive about studying personal finance, getting active outdoors, and above all spending time with my husband and daughter, who Cadence & Co. is named after. I strive to find a “healthy cadence” in all things in life – work and play, planning and being in the present, indulgence and self-discipline. My hope is that Cadence & Co. can help you do the same!
